1. Overview
GoDebtFree ("the App") is developed and published by Atikin Technologies. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and what choices you have.
The short version: we do not collect, see, or sell your personal data. Everything you enter stays on your device and, if you enable iCloud, in your own private iCloud account managed by Apple.
2. Information You Enter into the App
To help you track and pay off your debt, the App lets you enter:
- Debt details — lender names, outstanding balances, interest rates, EMI schedules
- Income sources — salary, freelance, or other income amounts and frequencies
- Monthly expenses — rent, utilities, subscriptions, and other fixed or variable costs
All of this data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Atikin Technologies has no access to this information.
3. iCloud Sync (CloudKit)
If you are signed into iCloud on your device, the App can sync your data across your iPhone and iPad using Apple's CloudKit service. When sync is enabled:
- Your data is stored in your private iCloud database, which only you can access
- Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple
- Atikin Technologies has no access to your iCloud data — not even in aggregate or anonymised form
- Sync can be disabled at any time in Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → GoDebtFree
Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
4. Notifications
The App may request permission to send you local notifications for upcoming payment due dates and reminders. These notifications are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device — no notification content is transmitted to our servers.
Push notifications may also be used by CloudKit to wake the App when new sync data arrives. These system-level notifications contain no personal content.
You can manage notification permissions at any time in Settings → Notifications → GoDebtFree.
5. No Third-Party Analytics, Advertising, or Tracking
GoDebtFree contains no third-party SDKs of any kind. Specifically, the App does not include:
- Analytics or crash-reporting services (e.g. Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude)
- Advertising networks or tracking pixels
- Social login or social sharing frameworks
- Any SDK that collects or transmits device identifiers
We do not engage in cross-app or cross-site tracking and have not done so at any time.
6. Data Export
The App includes an Export feature that lets you generate a CSV file of your debts, income, and expenses. This file is created locally on your device and shared only through the standard iOS Share Sheet — to destinations you explicitly choose (e.g. Files, Mail, AirDrop). Atikin Technologies never receives a copy of exported files.
7. Children's Privacy
GoDebtFree is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has entered personal information into the App, you can delete all app data by removing the App from their device and disabling iCloud sync for GoDebtFree in Settings.
8. Data Retention & Deletion
Because all data is stored on your device and in your iCloud account, you are in full control of retention and deletion:
- Delete all data: Delete the App from your device. This removes all locally stored data.
- Delete iCloud data: Go to Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → GoDebtFree → Delete Data.
- Delete individual records: Use the delete controls within the App at any time.
Atikin Technologies holds no copies of your data and therefore has nothing to delete on our end.
9. Security
Your data's security is provided by the platforms it lives on:
- On-device: Protected by iOS device encryption and your device passcode / Face ID / Touch ID
- iCloud: Encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest by Apple, with end-to-end encryption available via Advanced Data Protection
We recommend keeping your device and iOS up to date to benefit from the latest security improvements.
10. Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you within the App or through the App Store release notes. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
We do not anticipate significant changes, as the App's architecture is intentionally designed to minimise data collection.
